ST. MARK COUNCIL 13131 ~ CURRENT EVENTS CALENDAR

Nov. 11th: Council meeting, Officers 7:15 followed by the Rosary then the General Meeting.

Nov 14th: SPAGHETTI DINNER served at the Parish Center after the 5:00 p.m. mass.

Dec 1st: Dinner Playhouse event sponsored by the 4th degree Assembly. All are invited. Contact Joe Gallegos.

Dec. 9th: Council meeting, Officers 7:15 followed by the Rosary then the General Meeting.

Dec. 12th: Annual Christmas Party for the Council, St. Jude Assembly, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Columbian Squires Circle. The customary game will be played so each should bring a cute gift with maximum value of $10.

This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division. The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named Kalat,

who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad. Kalat was so grateful for the American's liberation of his country; he melted 3 of the heads of the fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers
